Bad Carma
Today - not such a good day. The internship seems to be dangerous for our cars. Anat’s was backed into. Kriss’ got in an accident, as did at least three other interns. Today, my car was damaged. I was in the school in Oakland, parked in the school parking lot and someone broke my rear window and stole my stereo. Now, why they did this when my stereo was a cheap-ass WalMart special is beyond me. They didn’t take my CD’s or the change in the cup (which is good because that means I could still cross the Bridge home) or anything else. But now I have to figure out how to keep the coming storm from soaking the shit out of my backseat. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. It’s especially frustrating because I’m volunteering my time to help people in this community and what happens? Someone steals my stereo. Yes, I know crime happens everywhere, to everyone… but come on, can’t I have an exception, please?
I had more to say, but I’m just not in the mood. It will have to wait until tomorrow.
In other news, it’s the last day of Holidailies. I have to say, I’m going to miss it. I’ll miss the pressure to post, the daily list of new journals to read. Without Holidailies, I’ll feel freer to only post when I have something interesting to say. But I have learned that sometimes, even when I don’t think I have anything to say - if I sit down at the keyboard and focus, something comes out of it. I gave myself permission not to be perfect with sparkling wit. Coming out of this month of daily posts, I hope that I can write better, and more frequently.
