It’s New Year’s Eve - and I’m feeling a bit more in the spirit than I was for Christmas. There’s something about the year turning that I find appealing. Endings followed by beginnings, darkness by light, old by new - with this liminal time between.

If there is a moment of transcendence, I believe it would be a threshold moment. Like death. Like birth.

I’m looking forward to 2008, the year I get to meet my baby.
